            Abstract :
In multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) wireless communication systems, their error rate performance is mostly determined by detection algorithms. Recently, a novel low-complexity MIMO detection algorithm based on symbol distribution approximation has been proposed. In this paper, provided that the symbol constellation is restricted to M-ary phase shift keying (PSK) or amplitude-modulated PSK (APSK), we propose an approach that can further reduce detection complexity without noticeable performance degradation.
