Abstract :
In this paper, a novel low pass filter with very wide stop band is proposed. This filter consists of two defected hexagonal units, one as a resonator and the other as a suppressing element. The final filter has a cut-off frequency of 2.91 GHz. The high and wide rejection in the stop band as well as compact size is other feature of the proposed filter.
