Abstract :
In this paper parity space relations are constructed to detect faults in norm-bounded uncertain linear system. Main goal is to detect actuator and sensor faults in practical systems where initial time of fault is unknown. As the effect of uncertainties in system model cannot be neglected, a parity vector and hence bound for the residual signal will be developed for such a system in fault-free case. In the case of occurrence of fault, residual signal will overshoot this bound. An application of the proposed theory is presented by Jacketed Continuous Stirred Tank Reactor (JCSTR). Finally, simulation results are provided that show the effectiveness of this proposed approach and improvement over previous methods.
