Abstract :
Innovation equals to invention plus commercialization or implementation, no commercialization or implementation, no innovation. The word innovation has become such a common word that it lost its meaning. There is a difference between the meaning of the words idea, concept, invention and innovation, yet they are used interchangeably. The word “invention” as used here goes beyond patented inventions: it does include patented inventions, but also something original, different, new, novel, or unique that has not been patented; it also includes new-to-the-market products and services. Innovation crosscuts the organization, it encompasses more than technological innovation: it includes products and services, process, marketing, and organizational innovation.
