  • Abstract
Environmental pollution and rise of fossil fuels prices that are less abundant made that more and more researchers are interested in the electrification of vehicles. In electric and hybrid electric vehicle, a robust and reliable machine is needed. The flux switching machines are widely used for these applications since they have similar performance to machines with permanent magnets and can reach high speeds. In this paper, we are interested in this kind of machines and especially in five phase machines that allow a satisfactory operation in degraded mode and this by the methods of reference currents reconfigurations that we developed to cancel the torque ripple and to obtain a zero sum currents. A comparison of the machine performances in healthy, degraded and reconfigured mode is achieved.
