  • Abstract
The dynamic behaviour of Buck-Boost converter´s operation is analyzed. The CCM (continuous conduction mode) is analyzed analytically using difference equation method. The proposed method allows to transform the nonlinear problem of converter analysis to the linear one. The CCM is characterized by two different topologies: one is transistor conducting and the second is diode conducting. Solving differential equations of these topologies and combining their solutions together, the set of the second order linear difference equations is developed. This set describes transient and steady state processes. Its solution is obtained in closed form. The solutions obtained determine the converter voltages and currents at the discrete instants of transistor ignitions. The converter voltages and currents between the discrete instants are calculated also. The theoretical results are verified by numerical calculations, simulation, and experiments with physical model. The theoretical and experimental results are in a good accordance.
