Abstract :
PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle) is a promising technique to save energy in the near future. This paper considers the time-varying electricity price and the charging behavior of future PHEV taxi, and then proposes an optimal charging schedule to minimize the charging cost of the PHEV taxi. The proposed schedule computes a threshold for each time slot and charges electricity when the actual price is lower than this threshold. It is shown by simulations that the proposed schedule can significantly reduce the charging cost.
