Abstract :
Active disturbance rejection control (ADRC) has been shown to be able to achieve good performance by lots of simulations and practical applications since it is first introduced. However, most of the numerous studies were based on comparison with PID controllers. This paper will compare the performance of second-order linear active disturbance rejection control (LADRC) and generalized predictive control (GPC). Second-order LADRC and GPC controllers are designed for six typical models such that both controllers for each model achieve the same nominal disturbance rejection performance, then Monte-Carlo simulation is adopted to test the robustness of the two controllers. Simulation results show that the second-order LADRC has good performance robustness.
