Abstract :
This paper considers the interception of maneuvering targets in the plane. A novel robust nonlinear integrated guidance and control (IGC) law is proposed based on backstepping and high-gain observers to nullify line-of-sight(LOS) rate with taking both missile model uncertainties and target maneuvers into account. Utilizing a high-gain observer to estimate the derivatives of the virtual controls can avoid the complex derivations of system states and the time-varying parameters, and the system uncertainties can be also suppressed. It can be proved that the design approach makes the line-of-sight (LOS) rate converge to an small neighborhood of zero, and the stability of the missile dynamics can be guaranteed as well. The numerical simulation confirms the effectiveness of the proposed design approach.
