Abstract :
As weak failures of gearboxes increase complex amplitude-modulation and frequent modulation of vibration signals, Time-frequent-domain analysis can extract the fault features. The feature of vibration signals caused by gear shaft angle error was discussed in this paper. Using practical measured vibration signals from a gearbox test-bench under varies angle failure conditions, features of failure signals in time domain, frequent domain, cepstrum and time-frequent domain were analyzed and comparative analysis of the normal station and angle failures was made finally. The results showed that STFT analysis better shows the feature of the shaft angle error.
