Abstract :
In this paper, a novel energy efficient control approach of a train is presented based on dynamic linearization technique and predictive control. The energy conservation problem of a train is described by a novel cost function related to energy consumption within a prediction horizon. The unknown nonlinear model of a train is replaced by dynamic linearization model. Based on the idea of predictive control, the current control action is obtained by solving online, at each sampling coordinate, a finite horizon closed-loop optimal control problem. The simulation studies verify the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
