Abstract :
In accordance with quality control strategy in last stand of a 1700mm tandem cold rolling mill, the control models of Monitor AGC with Smith predictor and tension controller were established, and decoupling arithmetic was given. Based on actual production problem, an optimizing strategy was developed to prevent tension from exceeding limits. The application shows that the system can quickly pull tension back to preset value, tension control precision can be controlled within ± 10% and the rolling line is more stable.
