Abstract :
In this paper, the static and the dynamic characteristics of the electro-magnetic proportional solenoid actuator for the pressure control valve were experimented using three kinds of controllers, and an attraction force characteristics by variation of dither like PWM signal were also analyzed. The constant force characteristics of the electro-magnetic proportional solenoid actuator in the control region should be independent of the plunger position in order to be used to control the valve position in the oil hydraulic control system. The stroke-force characteristics of the electro-magnetic proportional solenoid actuator are determined by the shape of the control cone. They have suggested many kinds of the control cone such as rectangle type, triangle type and modified one. In this study, the general proportional solenoid actuator having the triangle type tube for the plunger was experimented. It was confirmed that the response characteristics of the proportional solenoid actuator are very sensitive to dither characteristics such as frequency variation and dither amplitude, and basic physical parameters for design of the proportional solenoid actuator were discussed.
