Abstract :
This paper is concerned with the stabilization problem of Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy descriptor systems. The imperfect premise matching method is used in which T-S fuzzy plant and controller do not share same premise rules, i.e membership functions of plant and controller are different. By this method, the conservativeness of the stabilization conditions are reduced and flexibility in controller design is increased. Also, the larger class of systems than the conventional model can be described by the descriptor approach. The sufficient stabilization conditions are derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) which are solved easily by the LMI-toolbox in Matlab. The inverted pendulum simulation example is used to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
