            Abstract :
Investigation results on the operation of an explosive-emisoion source of a high-current nanosecond non-relativis-tic electron beam are presented. It is shown that one may avoid a beam contraction and obtain more uniform distribution of emission sites on the cathode only by applying a driving magnetic field. Mechanism of the pass of current flow for the high-current electron beam in a region of its longitudinal non-uniformity is discussed.
