Abstract :
This paper proposed a new type of phased array antenna for 76.5GHz consumer automotive radar. The proposed phased array antenna has mechanical phase shifters that use magnetic walls with no metal contacts enabling the realization of a low cost and stable phased array antennas that can operate over a wide temperature range. The use of waffle-iron ridged waveguides makes it easy to build multi-layered structures.
