Abstract
Video chat between PC and videophones are now in widespread use, with the advancement of the Three Network Convergence, people looking forward to video chat through the TV. This article describes the overall scheme of IPTV video communication system based on IMS network of China Telecom, introduces the main functions of IMS system is to network management on STB, achieve the encoding and transmission of the video stream. Propose two encode solutions, compare, analyze and draw some conclusions.
