Abstract :
This paper proposes the solution of information service and supervision based on WEBGIS for ecotourism in China, especially around Beijing area and Yunnan Province at this stage. The platform and the technical standards of ecotourism information service and supervision are developed. The platform is consisted of the five parts, i.e. Information Infrastructure Network (IIN), Remote Sensing System (RSS), Wireless Sensor Network (WSN), Data Warehouse (DW), Ecotourism Information Service and Supervision System (EI3S). It can provide the following main functions, such as (1) on-line monitoring of the regional natural resources and environment, (2) monitoring and evaluation of the regional bio-diversity and ecological security, (3) quasi real-time early warning of natural disasters regarding the regional ecotourism, (4) monitoring and supervising of the regional ecotourism service network, (5) information service and supervision for the regional ecotourism based on WEBGIS.
