Abstract :
Online games have the trend to become more and more complex. In order to have a stable, flexible and reliable server platform that could handle so many players in the game, most publishes and providers for large-scale multiplayer online game take the approaches by building cluster-based servers. As a cluster-based server based on distributed technologies is nowadays the optimum solution for a scalable, reliable service for online games. Based on the design and development of the online game server side, the work in this paper give in-depth analysis and research for online game server architecture. Concurrent architecture is one of the core techniques of online game server. We design a concurrent architecture for online game server. The architecture contributes to affording higher load by the server, the extension of services, and decreasing the difficulty of developing games.
