Abstract
Two-stage ion diode experiment has been performed on an induction adder accelerator “Reiden-SHVS”, Enhanced space-charge-limited current in second stage diode indicates a formation of virtual anode due to the energetic high current ion beam injection. An oscillative signals of B-dot monitor infers that the ion reflection at the virtual anode in the second stage diode. Finally the two-stage charge-stripping ion diode was demonstrated. Carbon beam of C+ and C2+ are stripped and partially recombined in thin stripping foil and accelerated at second diode.
