Abstract :
A model for the output characteristics calculation of a powerful relativistic electron beams generator with Plasma Opening Switch (POS) is presented. The model is based on the consideration of an installation output assembly, including POS, as vacuum lines with magnetic self-insulation. Using this analogy current losses during the pulse passage in line with POS are explained by an inconsistency on the diode border of plasma and in the region adjacent to diode. The model proposed allows to calculate these losses.
