Abstract :
The calculation results of the integral and differential characteristics of roentgen radiation converter fields for various materials (molybdenum, tantalum) and forms (a standards many foils variants in a transversal magnetic field) in the energy range of incident electrons to 10 MeV are presented. The calcularions were performed using the Monte-Carlo programme based on the model of large collisions taking into account the bremsstrahlung and characteristic K-series radiations as well as on the algorithm of the solution of the relativistic equation of electron motion in the integral gaps. The obtained results allow the converter thickness to be optimized over the total output energy of roentgen radiation and over produced surface absorbed dose in various materials (water, silicon, gold). The gain in radiated energy and dose was obtained at the expense of more effective radiation output and a softer energy spectrum.
