Abstract
Millimeter wavelength range multiwave microwave generators with the power up to 9 GW and the pulse duration from tens of nanoseconds up to 0.7 μs have been realized. Synchronization of interaction in a Cerenkov generator has been carried out using space wave travelling at large angles to the surface of the structure. It has been proved that a waveguide with absorbing walls is highly important in an electron synchrotron maser for increasing generation efficiency and narrowing radiation spectrum.
