  • Abstract
The research was examined for the purpose of performing quantitative evaluation of maximum-demand reduction and the merit of railway stations by applying a smart grid technology to railway stations. Specifically, with the technology above mentioned, it can be possible that "examination of the suitable equipment composition by detailed load control". Then there is a possibility of reduction in transformer capacity and cost reduction of power charges. At first, we grasped the station load in detail and conducted current measurement, and the method of reducing maximum demand was proposed. Then, the load simulation was performed based on the method, and it was confirmed that the reduction value of maximum demand, the possibility and the effect of cost reduction due to reducing transformer capacity.
