Abstract
In this paper the interleaved operation of boost converters employed in a photovoltaic power processing system is proposed. By forcing the converters to work in discontinuous conduction mode, an high voltage conversion ratio and a significant noise rejection capability are obtained. This solution is useful in distributed photovoltaic applications because it improves the maximum power point tracking efficiency and allows to boost the voltage of any photovoltaic module up to the high voltage bus. The analytical model and the simulation results confirm the features of the proposed solution.
