Abstract :
Curriculum reform in higher education is needed to keep up with the demand of the developing society and new learners. Over the past two years, curriculum reform has taken place at Hebei University of Technology in China in order to enhance the effectiveness of teaching Organic Chemistry. First, a survey was designed to investigate students´ attitudes toward Organic Chemistry. Then, some strategies were taken to reform curriculum according to the survey results. While inspired by students´ learning interests, optimized teaching methods and changing teacher-centered approach into student-centered approach step by step were used in education. Next, students´ reflection on the reformation was investigated. The results indicated that major students applauded with the reformation.
