Abstract
In this paper, focus is given to recent advances in technology and the process of globalization. It assesses the important aspects related to public access to information in the new world. A much wider significance is given to mass communication as it plays important role in the process of globalization. The major features of this process are introduced, discussing it´s multilateral form (economic, military, environmental globalization and etc). In addition positive as well as negative effects of globalization on mass communication are illustrated. The paper highlights the role of the media and states that in different cases the mass media can be used as a tool for achieving own purposes by government or different interest groups. The article examines different aspects of development of mass communication and pays attention to difficulties related to huge amount of information.
