Abstract :
Applicability of Successive Projection (SP) method is wide, and many design methods for digital filters are proposed. In recent years, we have been proposed a design method for FIR filters with complex filter coefficients by SP method updating maximum allowable deviation at each iteration. In the conventional design method, the complex error in the design problem is converted complex domain into real domain using rotation parameter. On the other hand, determination of the maximum allowable deviation is converted the complex domain into real domain that an arbitrary complex number is expressed as even function and odd function. Therefore, the design problem of the conventional design method is not uniformity. In this paper, we propose design method for FIR filter with complex number of filter coefficients by SP method using to convert complex domain into real domain that an arbitrary complex function is expressed as even function and odd function. In the proposed method, the maximum allowable deviation is obtained by same as the conventional design method. Finally, an effectiveness of the proposed method through a design example.
