Abstract
The paper analyzes the influences of the speed EMF on rotor position estimation errors in high-frequency-signal-injection-based sensorless control of PMSM. Expressions of high frequency carrier current induced by the carrier voltage are derived for both rotating voltage injection and pulsating voltage injection method when the stator resistance and speed EMF terms are all taken into account. Then position estimation error expressions are deduced, and the influences of the speed EMF on the position estimation errors are discussed. Finally, simulation investigations are conducted. Simulation results confirm the theoretical ones.
