Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to present a novel digital variable integral gain control for dc-dc converter. The integral coefficient KI changes for the continuous current mode and discontinuous current mode. The integral coefficient KI is changed by the reactor current detection. The integral coefficient KI changes in the discontinuous current mode using the average value of reactor current. Then it is confirmed that the regulation characteristics are improved. Additionally, this paper discusses the transient response of the proposed method. As a result, the transient response of proposed method shows more excellent results than the conventional P-I-D method.
