Abstract :
The carbon brushes have been widely used for static field excitation of turbine generators. These are used various conditions (current, environment and peripheral velocity etc.). Thus we have to anticipate the characteristics of carbon brush and slip-ring. The authors report the investigated result of the Ghost Mark of slip ring in this paper, this occurrence of Ghost Mark can be predicted by measuring the contact voltage drop.
