Abstract
Motivation is very important in the learning process. When students are motivated they get involved into the learning process, carrying out activities and managing more information. This is especially important in collaborative learning contexts because there are socials factors, which are related to motivation. In this paper we present an experience to compare several pedagogical methodologies (some of them supported by computer) with respect to motivation: 1) traditional lecture, 2) collaborative learning, 3) collaborative learning guided by CIF framework and 4) collaborative learning guided by CIF framework and supported by MoCAS tool.
