Abstract :
One of the problems found in the teaching of the discipline of Operating Systems is the lack of tools capable of representing, clearly and dynamically, some of the existing theoretical concepts in the discipline. The topic of Memory Management covers concepts that are hard to understand, and also includes techniques and mechanisms hard to assimilate. Thus, this study presents a proposal, for the development, of educational software in the form of a simulator, regarding this topic, which has visual and interactive graphics, serving as a teaching tool for professors and students of the discipline. The simulator was tested in the classroom, both by professors and students through a questionnaire, where the results were satisfactory. Thus, this project enables a reduction in difficulties, both for the transmission of concepts and for better understanding, contributing to increased quality of teaching and providing an educational resource for the academic community.
