Abstract :
Transmission of electric power in evacuated beam guides as proposed by K.I.Budker and further developed in [1,2] is of great interest for future industrial applications of electron beams. Without considering all aspects of the power transmission problem it should be pointed out that the most important condition for its implementation is the development of systems for providing stationary and quasi-stationary electron stream of extreme power at the transmitting end and the recuperation of electric energy through its deceleration at the receiving end. Studies of these processes are of vital importance for other applications e. g. technology, industrial accelerators, particle injection in a thermonuclear reactor and so on.
