Abstract
Ranking interval number is a difficult problem, both theoretically and practically. This paper presents a formulation depiction work for the ranking problem of interval numbers, and defines the strict partial order relations according to practical requirements. in addition, probability reliability of partial order among any two interval numbers are proposed, and also gives a proof to some conclusions playing an important role in ranking process. Further, a new ranking method employing probability reliability is addressed in detail, in order to effectively utilize the feature information of each interval number. Finally, the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed ranking method is verified by the analysis of an example.
