Abstract :
Recent several years have witnessed an explosion of social media and data transmitted through the media. Analysis of social media and social data draw much attention of researchers. And social media is utilized by many industries and departments. There has been extensive literature focused on social media and its application. In this paper, a comprehensive summary for the definition and classification of social media is presented. Then, we review some literature of social data analysis, including analysis of users´ characteristics and behaviors and content analysis. Next, social business is discussed.
