Abstract
Rough set is a new mathematical theory for dealing with vagueness and uncertainty. This study, for the purpose of providing decision support for stock traders, analyzes the financial data of stocks with the rough set theory and grades the data according to their significance for the market performance of stocks. The key tasks include: creation of the stock trading data set, pre-processing of stock trading data, analysis of the financial data set with the data mining software suite, analytical results and positivism, and conclusions. The experimental results and empirical results of the study indicate that this study provides an easy way for participants in the securities market in selecting stocks.
