Abstract :
Based on the analysis of the problems that the design of the marine power plant was lack of effective method to map the requirement of the ship owner to the design process of the marine power plant, Quality Function Deployment was proposed to apply to the design process of the marine power plant. Firstly, the development and the implement method of the Quality Function Deployment both here and abroad were studied. Furthermore, the waterfall decomposition method and the construction method of the House of Quality in the application of Quality Function Deployment to the design process of the marine power plant was studied. and the related problems, such as calculation method of the requirement index, the calculation method of the correlation index and the solving of the fuzzy problems, in the application process were studied. through the research in the paper, a new scientific method for extracting the requirement of the ship owner and mapping the requirement of the ship owner to the design process of the marine power plant is supplied, which would be used as a reference to normalization of the design of the marine power plant.
