Abstract :
Traditional C/S structure mode faces the problems such as overloaded server, system hard to expand and high operation cost in the process of building streaming media server, which seriously hinder the further development of streaming media application. However these problems may be effectively solved by introducing P2P technology into streaming media application. On the basis of analysis of defects existing in node maintenance algorithm of PeerCast system, this paper decreases nearly 50% of the time of node reconnection after breakage and the times of node reconnection for YP access after breakage by improving its broadcast mechanism and linked list of node.
