Abstract :
This paper proposes a new technique for the soft switching isolated flying capacitor in dc to dc converter. The main features of the proposed converter are: constant frequency operation, wide range of output voltage and output voltage control by pulse width modulation (PWM). The operating principle, theoretical analysis and design example of the proposed converter are provided in this paper. The experimental result is also presented and discussed in this paper. The prototype unit which was developed shows that the switching losses are eliminated as all the switches are operating in soft switching conditions.
