Abstract
Average-symbol-error rate (ASER) and diversity gain of an L-branch maximal ratio combining (MRC) receiver for M-ary phase-shift keying (M-PSK) modulation are analyzed over κ-μ fading channels with outdated channel state information using moment generating function (MGF) based approach. Analytical expressions for the MGFs of the exact and asymptotic signal-to-noise ratio at the output of the MRC receiver are obtained using which analytical expressions for the ASER and diversity gain are derived. The effects of κ-μ, and L on the ASER and diversity gain are analyzed.
