Abstract :
In this paper an h type dualband microstrip antenna fed by a 50 Ω microstrip transmission line is presented for wearable application in the ISM band (2.4-2.5 GHz, 5.725-5.875 GHz). The proposed antenna has two paths for the current, so we can get the dual band performance. As for the wearable application, we use a felt as the substrate to make sure the antenna can bend follow human body. The first band is about 2.4% for the center frequency of 2.45 GHz and the second band extends from 5.735 to 6.015 GHz with a fractional bandwidth of 6.4%. The overall size of the proposed antenna is 70mm*40mm*3mm. Details of the simulated and measured results are presented and discussed.
