Abstract
In this paper, the transient far radiation field of an arbitrarily electric dipole located above the lossy half-space is computed. The directed wave is obtained by analytic method and the reflected wave can be obtained by using the Fourier transform and the inverse Fourier transform with the consideration of time delay and the reflection of the lossy halfspace. Then the far radiation field of the complex antenna can be obtained by using the superposition principle. At last, the transient far radiation field of a helical antenna located above lossy half-space is computed.
