Abstract
An approach to fast calculate electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) response with equivalent circuit is proposed. Based on the equivalence concept of EMP radiation source and dipole antennas, the response at receiving antenna port is calculated efficiently with a simple circuit composed of pulse voltage source and lumped elements. Two cases of an example are taken to evaluate the validity of the calculation method. Comparing with the full wave simulation results, the equivalent calculation method can speed up the evaluation of EMP response and can be easily used in circuit software packages.
