Abstract :
In order to study the effective electromagnetic properties of heterogeneous materials, computation of very large 3D RC (resistor-capacitor) network model is indispensable. The huge computations and long time-consuming exist in previous sequential algorithm, which hinder the widely application of the model. A novel parallel algorithm for the model is presented in this paper. Simulation results show that the parallel algorithm greatly reduces the computation time. It´s found that the larger the size of the model is, the higher the efficiency of the parallel algorithm is. It is helpful to develop materials with required dielectric properties at radio and microwave frequencies.
