Abstract :
Advanced design methodologies are introduced in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) where energy efficiency is the primary goal and the routing protocols are equally concentrated to achieve energy efficiency in a better way. The proposed scheme gives an idea about the routing protocols which provides energy efficiency using Spatial Correlation based Iterative Node Selection Algorithm (SCBINS) and Spatial Correlation based Collaborative Medium Access Control (CC-MAC). The routing protocols explored in this paper are AODV, DSR and DSDV. The parameters focused in this work are End to End delay and Packet drop and Packet delivery ratio and Energy Efficiency. In the end, the paper concludes with open issues about the novel energy efficient routing mechanisms in wireless sensor network.
