Abstract :
This paper proposes a new reversible watermarking scheme for medical image authentication that makes use of hamming code as its authenticator and achieves reversibility through difference expansion (DE). The scheme has good tamper localization capability that permits us to pinpoint the location of changes in the watermarked image. Another important capability of the algorithm is that it can perfectly recover authentic blocks to their original state and hence eliminating the distortion that was introduced by watermark insertion algorithm. Experimental results show that the algorithm is successful at localizing the changes and can reach near perfect verification.
