Abstract
In the context of heterogeneous wireless cellular networks, mobile users often have various multimedia requests and should be provided seamless and dynamic roaming among different access technologies. Channel allocation control (CAC), especially the charge of handoff calls is still the key functionality to the QoS and resource utilization of next generation wireless cellular networks (NGWCS). In this paper, we address resource utilization analysis concerned with the dynamic guard channels control scheme for differentiated traffic types in NGWCS.
