Abstract :
A new Design method has been presented based on similarity theorem in this paper, which is deduced with dimensional analysis method and testified by FEM. And it is applied to the section design of the telescopic boom of 100maerial working platform (AWP) as an example. This method is a new way to realize the rapid design for such thin shell box section weldment. As an efficient design method, the proved product data have been well taken advantage.
