Abstract :
This paper proposes a strategy management of a Fuel Cell Low Speed Vehicle (FCLSV). In this vehicle, the fuel cell is used as range extender. An energy management system based on the FCLSV Energetic Macroscopic Representation (EMR) and the Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) of the Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell (PEMFC) is proposed and discussed. This strategy aims at providing the maximum power available from the PEMFC, given its operating conditions. This work highlights the energy profit with the knowledge of the maximum power available on line by controlling a power interface. So the Fuel Cell can provide the maximum available power to slow down the discharge of battery pack.
